My background has always been in medicine.  I was born into a medical family and it seemed the most natural thing in the world to train to be a nurse.

I completed my general nurses’ training in 1974 and since then have nursed in many different areas and specialities including working in pharmaceutical clinical research.

During this time I married and had two wonderful children, a daughter and then a son. Both of whom are now grown up and independent.

During my years as a nurse, I had many questions about health and disease for which, I discovered, conventional medicine could not provide me with adequate answers.  It was only once I started to investigate homeopathy that I began to find some of the answers I sought.

I first became interested in homeopathy after I was persuaded by a friend to try homeopathy for an annoying ailment. I had been suffering for well over a year, taking a twice daily dose of antihistamine.  I was extremely sceptical, believing that, as there was nothing in the remedies, they could not possibly do anything.

I was amazed at how quickly and completely homeopathy cured this lingering problem.  I had to know more and, shortly after, I commenced my studies with the School of Homoeopathy in Devon.  I gained my diploma and became a Registered member of the Society of Homeopaths in 2002.

As both a homeopath and a nurse, I have a strong commitment to ongoing supervision and professional development including reflective practice to ensure the best possible care for, and the safety of, my patients.
